Target Audience

Our main target audience is young teenage girls, therefore I believe that the music video will appeal to them as there is an attractive male character who features in the video, who is the same age as them (17 years old). This is appealing to a female audience as they will find the character visually pleasing and enjoy the video. Additionally the music video also features three teenage girls, aged 17-18, I think that the three girls will represent the female audience as it relates to the same situation that they may have been in. 

 

The selected costumes that the band members will be wearing are punk/pop themed; this is because it represents the genre of dance-pop, typically colourful and also represents the band members peronalities.

How could you ensure that the representation presents the intended image?

As a group we have researched the conventions of a dance-pop genre to ensure that our representation presents our intended image. We have also reasearched the two main singers in our music video, Demi Lovato and Cher Lloyd, this way we are able to identify their clothing and personalities in order to get the best representation and present the intended image correct.

Characters

 

Lauren

Lauren is 18 years old; she has blonde hair and her interests include: studying for her A level subjects, documentaries and quizzes. Recently she met a boy online that she has met up with a few times, Lauren believes that this could be the one.

 

Cher – Played by Maddie

Cher is 17 years old, she has very long blonde hair and her interests include: partying and beauty as she always likes to look her best. Recently Cher has found a love interest in a boy she met in a club on a night out in town.

 

Demi – Played by Alana Abrahams

Demi is 17 years old, she has short blonde hair and she is interested in music, writing songs and singing them. Recently Demi has been dating a boy that she met at one of her recent gigs, where they exchanged numbers and have been meeting up happily since.

 

Ben – Played by Tom

Ben is a very good-looking 18 year old boy. His personality is very flirtatious and he is very confident in approaching girls, he has a very bad habit of messing around with girls, which is present throughout our video as currently he is seeing all three of them.
